	Governor starts surety-bond assistance program
	New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has launched a statewide surety-bond assistance program in a bid to boost state contracting among small businesses and businesses owned by minorities and women. The program, which Cuomo kicked off yesterday, is called the New York State Surety Bond Assistance Program. A surety bond guarantees an obligation or contract.

The new car show will feature hundreds of cars and trucks spread out through two buildings and four floors totaling 135,000 square feet at the Oncenter and Convention Center in Syracuse.

	The Syracuse-area construction job market has declined by 21 percent since peaking in 1990, the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) said this morning at a press conference in the city.
